A Web Content Writer creates content that is useful, usable and specifically intended for delivery online.
Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:
Researches and writes online content for DISH websites. Prepares articles, comparisons, and instructions from own knowledge of topics, supplemented by additional study and research.
Coordinates with writers, producers, and other contributors to the website to ensure consistency in style, tone, and quality.
Writes, edits, proofreads, a variety of documents. Corrects any grammatical, typographical, or compositional errors.
Reviews websites to ensure consistency in page layout, and position.
Reviews and catalogues websites according to established guidelines.
Recommends improvements to existing content, and guidelines.
Skills – Experience and Requirements:
A successful Web Content Writer will have the following:
Experience editing magazines, newspapers, or other online publications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to iterate quickly during the editing process.
Expertise in interpreting and building on feedback/criticism
Ability to manage responsibilities and priorities in a fast-paced, time-critical environment
Proficiency in Word and Excel; experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript a plus; experience in image editing a plus
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; and two plus years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
