Use your experience as a writer/editor and project management skills to assist editors with developing and managing websites. This is a challenging opportunity on a growing web team where you will use your writing talent to develop original copy and edit and rewrite supplied copy as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and help implement Marketing goals
- Keep current with client’s products and associated services, training, events, and the GIS user community
- Meet with managers, clients, and others to plan, develop, and collect information and source material for daily and long-term editorial projects
- Write, edit, proofread, deliver, and maintain strategic and informative copy in a web-appropriate style for the corporate website and related sites
- Work with senior editors and stakeholders to define content needs for new projects such as new sections, navigational changes, revisions to existing pages and metadata, and cross-linking
- Interact with the GIS user community to solicit content for case studies and user showcase applications
- Utilize HTML to edit copy; refresh content to keep text and images relevant and current
- Contribute ideas and feedback on current and future editorial content based on company goals and technology trends
- Help define, document, and communicate content processes, timelines, and style guidelines
