Under direct supervision, the Technical Writer is responsible for writing technical copy for various operation and maintenance manuals and technical publications or internal and external audiences. Prepares written text and coordinates layout and organization of manuals and other documents according to prepared outlines and specifications. Edits writing projects such as user manuals, installation manuals, training manuals, help documents and tutorials. Researches available technical data. Essential Functions/Responsibilities Prepare written text and coordinate layout and organization of manuals and other documents according to prepared outlines and specifications. May prepare online PDF user guide documents and online help files. Research available technical data including drawings, design reports, equipment and test specifications.
