The Training Department of TMX Finance is currently seeking an Educational Writer to help develop a growing demand for e-learning modules across a multi-unit retail franchise where remote education is the primary driver of employee development. Successful candidates must have an extensive background in development and production of educational curriculum that is highly effective across an extensive participant base. Courseware content varies from EQ selling skills to technical manuals in the financial services sector.
Responsibilities
Work as part of the TMX University team in the Training Department to develop courseware for a growing content library.
Utilize proficiency in various writing modalities to create and deliver e-learning modules, as well as modify pre-existing writing styles accordingly.
Study job families and functions and prepare end-to-end creation of skills training and job aids.
Organize material and complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology.
Maintain records and files of work and revisions.
Edit, standardize and revise material prepared by other writers.
Establish technical specifications to determine subject matter to be developed.
Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format and content.
Analyze company-wide developments to determine the need for revisions in previously published materials, as well as implement those developments in the composition of new material.
