As an integral member of the IHI Open School team, the Content Manager will work on all aspects of the content development. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: working closely with faculty to develop the curriculum of required and elective courses, generating ideas and formats for content delivery, producing new “non-course” content for the school (including case studies and faculty guides), creating engaging marketing copy for print and web, and editing newsletters, videos, and other forms of media.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop online curriculum in conjunction with IHI and non-IHI faculty
Edit the writing of faculty authors and professional writers to fit the IHI Open School tone and style
Edit content – including surveys, grant proposals, and articles – produced by other team members in a strong, consistent voice
Work with faculty to ensure timely completion of deliverables
Conduct market research to understand audience needs and then work to create content to fill those needs
Conduct research and test new online learning platforms and websites
Train and coach faculty authors and professional writers who are new to the IHI Open School
Constantly improve the usability and content of the online courses and the website
Engage students in content development process when applicable
Develop and test standard formats for content delivery to engage health profession students and faculty
Work closely with the IHI Open School team to continuously produce new videos, podcasts, case studies, etc.
Solicit and edit case studies authored by IHI and non-IHI faculty
Work closely with the Community Manager to identify future content topics that will educate and engage students
Work within the content production schedule, in full coordination with the overall IHI Open School for Health Professions business plan
Build and support the content of the IHI Open School for Health Professions to meet strategic goals
